The Taste of Music
"The Taste of Music, The Sound of Food and Wine™" is a special event combining the synergy of music, food and wine. Together with a selected Steinway artist, or an accomplished musician from a portfolio of artists, plus the Executive Chef of the designated venue and a guest winery/wineries, Mr. Weiss will lead guests on a melodic and culinary excursion of wines, foods and music.

The music, either classical, jazz, blues, standards or otherwise, complements each tasting of food and wine in tempo, texture and tonality. Impressionistic in style, the presentation is extremely diversified in application. Not only does it allow the participants to enjoy the food and wine components but it invites them to a musical interpretation of the pairings as well. Each event is unique and customized to the particular venue.

The presentation is appropriate for a fund-raiser, an inauguration, Special Events or customized to luxury products or services looking for an elegant and memorable way to promote and market themselves.

"This is the first night of my life that I've eaten with my ears! The only food that I've ever listened to was Rice Krispies and tonight's music was a lot more fun than Snap, Crackle and Pop. We must listen to Uncle Eric Weiss - he's onto something here and I'm going to have fun in the future looking at the food on my plate and imagine the sounds that might go with it."

"Monet's Palate, A Gastronomic View from the Gardens of Giverny"

As a culinary-musical coda, Mr. Weiss will introduce his latest presentation, “The Taste of Music, The Sound of Food and Wine.” Master Violinist Jennifer Choi will interpret the lush and captivating Cabernet Sauvignon, “Monet’s Palate,” 2004, with a corresponding musical selection. After a screening of the film, Eric Weiss, food, service and wine consultant and President of Service Arts, Inc. will moderate a discussion about Monet’s Palate and the connections between food, art, wine and music.

"Let me please say Thank you for having invited me to so memorable and exquisite an evening. I can honestly say I've never attended anything like 'The Taste of Music, The Sound of Food and Wine.' Everything was carried off impeccably - It was almost as if there were a common mind or emotion in the room."

"The Taste of Music, The Sound of Food and Wine event provided the creative and successful theme for the weekend Gala opening of our hotel. Mr. Weiss' attention to detail and coordination with the department heads resulted in a weekend of three, separate evenings that exhilirated, enchanted and enveloped the senses of our guests."

"In January of 2007, I had the distinct pleasure of intertwining my film, 'Monet's Palate' with Eric Weiss' brilliant concept 'The Taste of Music, The Sound of Food and Wine.' Clearly, Eric understands that each of our senses interprets experiences differently. If one is able to speak to each of those senses in a language that both entertains and excites, the boundaries of enjoyment have no limit. I hope that everyone gets to experience the originality and pleasure of this program."
