Putting together themed journeys aboard private jets and yachts is another function of Service Arts’ diversified portfolio. Tourjeté, the division which plans and oversees travel for up to 8 guests, creates customized journeys around a variety of themes- antiques, food and wine, flyfishing, horseraces, shopping, etc. In conjunction with Trakair, a private jet company based in Burlington, Vermont and a multitude of luxury motoryachts or sailing vessels, each journey is meticulously planned for a select number of participants. Take, for example, Tourjeté’s “Cooking with Renoir” journey: Designed for six guests, a previous trip included overnights in the designer suites at New York City’s St. Regis Hotel, Wheatleigh, a turn-of-the-century palazzo in Lenox, Massachussetts and The Emerson Inn and Spa in Upstate New York. Guests were treated to private tours of the Renoir exhibits at both The Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as the Clark Institute in the Berkshires. Each meal during the four day journey corresponded to a specific point in the painter’s life. The entire trip was covered by Travel in Style, a nationally syndicated luxury television show and aired in April, 2008.
